SERAC-Bangladesh initiated the Bangladesh 1st National Youth Conference on Family Planning (BNYCFP 2016) on September 6, 2016, and it was followed by six other successful conferences (BNYCFP2017, BNYCFP2018, BNYCFP2019, BNYCFP2020, BNYCFP2021 and BNYCF2022) in Dhaka claiming to be the largest youth focused annual event on SHR in the country. Following the huge successes in the past seven seasons of this National Youth Conference focusing on family planning, SHR, and health issues of young people in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 we are delighted to announce the Bangladesh 8th National Youth Conference on Family Planning 2023 this year on3 and 4 October, 2023 in Dhaka. "Family Planning is not only marital planning; it relates with the whole life. BNYCFP is a platform that introduces a comprehensive lifestyle for the youth" -Rima Akter, Age: 24, Student, Mohammadpur Model Nursing College, Dhaka. In collaboration with the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP), USAID, UNFPA Bangladesh, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network (BHAN), Coalition of Youth Organizations in Bangladesh (CYOB) and other distinguished national and international partners; SERAC-Bangladesh is hosting this hybrid (in-person & virtual) conference to strengthen a sustainable platform for young active advocates to learn and share experiences and renew commitment on different key dialogues on young people's sexual and reproductive health and rights in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 5. The conference is expected to be attended by Ministers, MPs, high level government officials from multiple ministries and departments, UN officials, national and international health experts, academicians, NGOs, advocates, and hundreds of active youth representatives from across the country.
